As much as I hate to label us, my husband is a “punk”… I myself am more “goth”, and we’re looking for bedding. So far we’ve had about a thousand sets of black sheets (also red, purple and oddly enough… pink) but I’m getting extraordinarily bored with plain, patternless sheets. We have a very expensive duvet that was given to us as a gift by my mother, so I’d like to get a cover for it. I also like the look of coordinating curtains and throw pillows, tho my husband finds them useless. (He’s not opposed to them, just amused by them. He calls them “unnecessary fluff”) Anyway, there was a pattern I was interested in around the time of our wedding called Serendipity Red. Unfortunately this was not one of the wedding gifts, the pattern’s been discontinued and I can’t find anything else close enough to it to satisfy me. I’ve toyed with the idea of making my own duvet cover and throw pillows, but as a last resort I figured I could ask here and see if anyone knows of any top-secret gothy homemaker shops that I’ve been missing.

As I side note, I detest floral patterns and gold… not that there’s anything wrong with them, I simply find them objectionable in a gag-reflex kind of way. We’ve been leaning toward red (for shade, think blood red), deep purple, indigo, silver (only if shiny, we both dislike gray) and of course, black.

Oh, and if it helps, most of our furniture is wood with cherry and/or espresso finish, black and silver. Our living room has a vaguely Asian theme with cherry furniture and an accent wall that is red crackle paint with silver underneath. So as you can imagine, I’m not opposed to over-the-top decorating

I’m buying new sheets in Aubergine (which is what I’ve been looking for for quite a while now) which is a really dark purple, like eggplant purple. I need a new duvet cover to go along with the sheets and I’m not sure what color to match with it. I was thinking black satin with bows but I have no idea where to find something like that. I would love to hear what you would suggest to go along with it. My room is still painted the colors from when I was a kid (pink, yellow, purple and lime green) so it’s a little crazy and I’m not planning to match with that because I will be either painting that room to match the bed or moving out before that. Oh and one last thing, my drapes are black. Not like Gothic black but like chic, stylish black. Thanks for your help!

I really want to redo my room to make it look sexy, young, sophisticated,glamorous, and relaxing. I already chose my colors. A deep pink (Not bright/hot pink), Black. and white. For my walls Im going to paint the chair rail and the ceiling black, the bottom of my walls white, and the top of my walls pink. I want to buy black floating shelves and get black window curtains for my one window, and black picture frames for pictures and my bulleton board which I am going to cover with a white satin fabric. The rest of my bedroom is white. Im having trouble with my bed though I want to get some dark pink and black satin sheets and I already found a pink comforter and a black comforter and I already started buying lots of pink black and white throw pillows but I cant find the satin sheets in these colors and need some ideas on making my bed look the part w/o a headboard.

Any suggestions on where to the sheets and more things that I can do to pull my bedroom together..
